导演将镜头对准边缘人群，在经过长达17年的拍摄中，见证了这个人物短暂的一生，有人说“生活是最好的导演”，在二毛这个人物身上就是最好的体现，他敢爱敢恨，勇敢地追求自己想要的生活，却一次次被生活和自己击垮，缺少安全感，对未来的不确定性，被否定和被排挤，终将让自己深陷囹圄。最后迫于社会的压力最终还是不得不违背自己的内心，顺从地去迎合这个社会，真的让人唏嘘不已。导演采用介入式的拍摄方法，让人物与镜头外的本该是保持距离的拍摄者有了互动，这种介入，似乎也让导演成了与观众互动的一方，感受着拍摄者对被拍摄者关怀和温暖的一面。透过影片，感受他人别样的人生，也给予了自己追求自由和幸福的勇气！！（凹凸镜线上放映）

Some neato throwback vibes in this moderately enjoyable and very predictable crime thriller. I can understand the political reasons why people liked this movie about dirty cops and a black hero cop but it was quite ordinary. I expected more with Chadwick Boseman as the lead in this film. The ending could have been done better.
